Current plans indicate an abundant 35,000 MW of offshore wind energy potential under development on the East Coast, with room for even more expansion. To date, states have set ambitious procurement targets, approaching nearly 74,000 MW of offshore wind energy. Furthermore, developers aim to kickstart 13 offshore wind projects by 2026, which will contribute 11,500 MW to the offshore wind capacity.
