Job Title: Logistics Coordinator / Import/Export Specialist

Summary:

The position will be focused on the coordination of all inbound and outbound shipments for the company. This will include shipments to include both domestic and international shipments, express as well as freight. An in-depth knowledge of the process of controlled commodities and all facets of the shipping process is required to be successful in this role.
Tasks involved in carrying out this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Preparation of all shipments for the company
  • Complete international shipping packages
  • Maintain shipping records and ensure packages are delivered.
  • Process, track and trace international shipments
  • Understand, interpret and apply export requirements for proper customs clearance
  • Resolve all shipment issues
  • Adhere to all safety standards, regulations, laws and polices

This position will require close coordination with several departments within DeTect.

The person will liaise and coordinate with other DeTect departments including Operations, IT, Production, Marketing and Accounting to ensure their departmental
shipping needs are carried out in a timely, efficient manner.

Skills and Ability Requirements: The candidate ideally will possess or develop the minimum skills and abilities listed below:

  • Knowledge of shipping sites such as FedEx, DHL Global, etc
  • Ability to communicate with internal personnel as well as customers and vendors
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experienced-level knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams,
    and Sharepoint).
  • Team-oriented approach to achieving company objectives.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs independently and up to 90 lbs with two people.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within project timelines
  • Ability to work with other team members as required.
  • Aptitude for challenging and detail-oriented projects.

Job Title: Radar Systems Engineers

Summary:

Entry-level and experienced radar design and development engineers to research, design, develop, and test electronic and mechanical components and control systems for radar systems and other products for military and commercial aviation, environmental, homeland security and force protection clients. Position will have significant opportunity for advancement and upward career mobility to include management responsibility. Candidate must be able to work in a self-directed, entrepreneurial environment. Requires minimum B.S. degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related discipline and a minimum of three years of relevant experience, P.E. preferred. Openings available in Panama City, Florida USA.

Programmers and Senior Programmers: Open requirement for positions for preparing specifications and user requirements and in encoding, testing, debugging, updating, and documenting proprietary software and programs for radar systems, data analysis and other company products and projects working under the direction of the company’s Chief Technology Officer. Expertise and knowledge of LabView, Visual Basic, C++, web applications and other programming languages desired. Programmer level requires three years minimum experience and B.S. degree in computer science; Senior level positions require 5-10 years experience and advanced degrees or commensurate experience. DeTect Inc. is searching for a GIS Technician to work in our main office in Panama City, FL.

Duties include editing spatial data, creating maps, downloading data, providing
GIS technical support for biological\radar field technicians.

  • Must have solid academic or on the job training with ArcGIS desktop.
  • Must be proficient in querying data sets and developing routines to automate tasks.
  • Experience with Windows OS a must.
  • Experience with Spatial Analyst, Tracking Analyst, and 3D Analyst experience a plus.
  • Experience with MS Access, MS Excel, MS SQL Server, Photoshop Illustrator, Idrisi a plus.

Job Title: Radio Ornithologists

Summary:

Entry and Senior Level Radar Ornithologists: Positions supporting bird detection radar system set-up, operation, groundtruthing, measurement and analysis of the spatial distribution of birds and bats for aviation, wind farm, landfill and related projects. Duties and responsibilities will include field data collection, radar system operation and maintenance, processing and analysis using standard and custom software packages (including Arc 9, Matlab, MS Access, SQL and MS Excel). Conduct statistical analysis of bird distributions in time and space, compile draft technical reports for customers, provide processed data and graphical display output, and develop new data processing routines as needed for new projects. Requires minimum B.S. in avian biology, biology or related field and 3+ years of experience in avian survey. Radar operation experience and strong database skills a plus.
